British Polo Gin Strikes Gold

On Monday 21 May, British Polo Gin® joined producers from across the South West region to celebrate ‘all things local’ at the Western Daily Press Food & Farming Awards 2018. From the field to the plate, the Awards is designed to celebrate every step of this vital industry, that underpins the South West’s economy and daily life.
Following an anxious wait, British Polo Gin® were awarded The Best Drinks Producer Award, sponsored by Grant Thornton, ahead of some exceedingly strong competition from across the region.
Following the big announcement, Managing Director Richard Hine said, “This is such an exciting opportunity for us. Given the quality of food and drink in the region, to be named one of the finalists and then to win the big prize with our organic gin is a complete shock. I must thank all those that have supported me and the brand up to this point; as we would not be where we are now without all of their help”
“British Polo Gin® is a truly unique product and one that I can’t shout about enough, being an 100% organic gin is highly unusual and we are really keen to highlight this area of our provenance. With this honour from the Western Daily Press Food & Farming Awards, I really hope we can educate more people in the South West about our innovative product and the importance of being 100% organic. I am also really excited to be raising polo’s profile in the public domain."
Richard finished by adding, “I want to wish all the other winners and finalists my whole-hearted congratulations. What a wonderful thing to be part of!”
British Polo Gin® will be travelling across the UK this summer with their pop-up bar, enabling gin lovers from across the nation to sample a Chukka Cocktail© or Millionaire’s Cocktail© or two, so make sure you visit the Events Page to see when BPG bar will be near you.
