XI FIP World Championships

Play begins today

This week sees the much-awaited beginning of the FIP XI World Championships in Sydney, Australia. Players from eight nations across the world have been travelling to Australia over the past month and set about readying their forces for the upcoming tournament. Polo ponies have also been making lengthy journeys across the continent to take part in the matches. Approximately 250 ponies have travelled the length and breadth of the country to show their speed and ability on the world stage.
The Zone qualifying stages begin today, Tuesday 17 October, with the Final falling on Sunday 29 October. Polo Times will be reporting from Sydney, so make sure to subscribe here so you don't miss out on all the exciting updates.
