Throw back Thursday time… to a few weeks ago when we went to The Houses of Parliament alongside some of the finest food and drink producers from across Gloucestershire to showcase our artisan produce.

Richard Graham, Gloucestershire Conservative MP and Craft Drink and Gloucester Services hosted the day, everything from Hobbs House Bakery, to Gloucester Biltong Company were included in the Taste of Gloucestershire event on Tuesday, October 29th and goodness are they delicious!

MPs from across the country could be found in the Jubilee Room, where the event took place, sampling wine produced by the Royal Agricultural University near Cirencester, eating truffles crafted in Nailsworth to name a few and sipping our fabulous organic gins of our stable; British Polo Gin Classic, Botanical, Strawberry & Rose and lastly the famous Christmas favourite…Sloe Gin, they certainly went down well!

Whilst all this excitement was going on we were lucky enough to be able to go into the chambers to watch the early parliamentary general election bill to view our democracy in all its glory, and of course watch Boris Johnson and Jeremy Corbyn battle it out. With such poignant politics in the air right now, there was never a more perfect day to attend The Houses of Parliament!

We would like to thank Richard Graham and his team for the fantastic day they put on for the British Polo Gin and all other suppliers, we are sure it was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

PS. Everyone far and wide don’t forget to vote on 12th December for the final 2019 general election (or so we hope!!)

We presume you may need to consume a yummy British Polo Gin Cocktail after so may we suggest….

Brexit British Polo Gin Millionaire Cocktail

Another firm favourite at British Polo HQ is the wonderfully boozy Millionaire Cocktail. Inspired by heady days of prohibition, the Millionaire is popping with flavour and showcases our limited edition Sloe Gin exceptionally well. We feel that the Millionaire is the perfect welcome drink to serve at your next dinner party.

To create the Millionaire follow the below:

1.  Add 25 ml of British Polo Sloe Gin to a shaker

2.  Add 25 ml of dark rum to shaker

3.  Add 25 ml of apricot brandy to the shaker

4.  Add a squeeze of lime to shaker

5.  Add a squirt of grenadine to shaker

6.  Add ice to shaker

7.  SHAKE

8.  Pour through a strainer into glass

9.  Rub lime wedge around edge of glass and fix to side of glass

10. Garnish with strawberry
