British Polo Gin Returns to Cirencester Park

2020 may have got off to a particularly rainy start, but never fear, the summer will be here before we know it!

For the 2020 polo season we are delighted to be returning to The Thatched Clubhouse Bar at the highly prestigious Cirencester Park Polo Club, where British Polo Gin is also the Official Gin Sponsor, having renovated the Clubhouse Bar in 2019.

 Set in the heart of the iconic lustrous green of Cirencester Park, CPPC is the beating heart of polo in Gloucestershire, with an extensive calendar of polo, from low goal to the upper echelons of international matches. What’s more, this season will see two new faces at the Club. Polo coaches extraordinaire Caspar West and Olivia Lamphee will be taking to the fields at CPPC, as the driving force behind The Cotswold Polo Academy, which has recently joined forces with OKL Polo to boost the fast growing demand for polo coaching at the Club. With new coaches also comes new ponies. The Club will have an additional 10 ponies, which will boost the already fantastic string of rental ponies for all levels of the sport. So, if you’re ready to take the next step, from the sidelines to centrefield, then look no further.

 The Thatched Clubhouse Bar will be open on Thursdays and Saturday evenings, Sundays and Bank Holidays. Our 100 percent organic gin will of course be available in a variety of polo themed drinks, alongside gorgeous wine from Justerini and Brooks, Pol Roger & Laurent Perrier fizz and a full bar selection including draft beers and cider from Bath Ales and St Austell. But, wonderful drinks without delicious snacks is just a travesty… in steps our home from home, Fostons Ash, who will be cooking up a veritable smorgasbord of delectable treats, both savoury and sweet throughout the summer months.

It’s quite simple really. All you need is:

50ml British Polo Gin No.4 Strawberry & Rose

Two Strawberries

Half a Lime

Half a Teaspoon of Sugar

125ml Fevertree Elderflower Tonic

Method:

1.   Chop two deliciously ripe and juicy strawberries, half a lime and tip into a tumbler of your choice

2.   Add half a teaspoon of sugar

3.   Muddle the contents together

4.   Then to get the party started…add your British Polo Gin Strawberry & Rose

5.   Add a lashing of Fevertree Elderflower

6.   Mix together and we give you ‘The High Goal’

And it’s as simple as that – sit back, relax and dream of warm summer days
